The Velona-Long Building on Shoosmith Road in the LOW Recycling Center -- where the Lions Club stores thousands of items of its annual fall yard sale -- is open from 9 to 12 noon, all Saturdays of every month.  The building is set-up like a store, packed with bargain items you don't have to wait until fall to purchase. This is also a great  time to drop off items you want to donate for the yard sale. The Lions will also arrange to pick up donated items from your home. Help your Lions Club help your community!

If you’re looking for an afternoon of fun on the beautiful Lake of the Woods Golf Course, sign up now for the annual LOW Lions Club Golf Tournament on Friday, September 10, 1 PM.

With a scramble format, the tournament offers a great time for a good cause -- proceeds will go to the LOW Lions benevolence fund to support its sight and hearing programs.  The cost is just $60 per person and includes a picnic dinner after the tournament.

Prizes will be awarded to teams finishing in first and second place, and for closest-to-the-pin and closest-to-the-line for both men and women.
