A Leo Club, in which students perform services to the community and can earn credit toward graduation by doing so, is being established at the Orange County High School under LOW Lions Club sponsorship. Some of its recruits are expected to be students who joined a Leo Club formed at the Locust Grove Middle School last year--also under the LOW Lions' sponsorship--and who have now entered high school. A Leo Club must have 20 members to receive a charter from Lions Clubs International, governing body of all Lions clubs, Social studies teacher Chad Phares is scheduled to supervise the new club, whose name stands for Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity. The LOW Lions thank Orange High Principal Eugene Katulka for giving them the opportunity to establish it. They also thank Middle School Principal Martha Roby for her continuing support of the Leo Club at her school.
