The Lake of the Woods Lions Club was organized in the Spring of 1982 and was chartered by the Lions Club International on May 27th, 1982. Throughout that time and continuing today our member volunteers have been proudly serving Orange County with programs that address community needs.
Lions serve. It’s that simple, and it has been since Lions Club International first began in 1917. Our clubs are places where individuals join together to give their valuable time and effort to improving their communities, and the world. The LOW Lions Club is dedicated to serving our neighbors in Orange County Virginia.
LOW Lions meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. The Club’s business meeting is held on the 1st Thursday at the LOW Community Center or via Zoom. A dinner meeting for the full membership is held on the 3rd Thursday at the LOW Clubhouse. Meetings times and locations are subject to change. Members are required to attend at least one meeting per month.
Next Board Meeting March 4, 2021, 6:30 PM on Zoom. Details will be sent via email.

How Can I Join?
The Lions Club runs on volunteer power. We appreciate your interest in aiding our community. Yes, you can still join and volunteer if you are employed. We have a wide variety of community service projects with flexible levels of participation. Many of our members have full or part-time careers and still participate in Club activities and volunteer work. Contact a member of the LOW Lions who can sponsor you and help you through the membership process. Prospective members are contacted by the membership committee and approved by the Board of Directors. You can download a membership application here.
