How Do I Donate?
All donations and sale proceeds go directly to supporting our programs.
Weekly Yard Sale
Donations of saleable items may be made between 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM Saturdays at the Velona building. Or you can call 540-495-0640 to arrange a pickup of a larger quantity of smaller items such as housewares, tools, artwork, etc.. Note that we are currently accepting donations of furniture at the yard sale on Saturday mornings only. Pickups of other items will be scheduled as needed. Furniture pickups will resume soon.
We are unable to accept donations of the following items: mattresses, cribs, car seats, strollers, infant walkers/bouncers, computer printers, computer monitors, old-style CRT TVs, hazardous materials, damaged or heavily soiled items (we have no means for cleaning or repair). We appreciate your donations however please DO NOT leave donations in the Velona Building area unless Lions Club members are there to receive them. It is against dumping regulations. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
White Cane Day
White Cane Day is the one time of year Lions solicit direct donations to support our community programs. Usually in late Spring, LOW Lions Club volunteers will be stationed at various retail establishments in the area. Please donate what you can when you see them.
Selven Powell Memorial Golf Tournament
Hosted by the LOW Lions/Lionesses to benefit the Wilderness Food Pantry and Orange County Student Scholarships. Held annually at the LOW Golf Course. To register or for sponsorship information contact: Charlie Ostlund 540-903-7796

Wilderness Food Pantry
Non-perishable food items may be dropped off in the donation basket in the LOW Clubhouse foyer, in the donation box at the weekly yard sale or at the Wilderness Food Pantry during hours of operation. See monthly schedule here. Cash donations specifically for the Pantry may be sent to the address above with designation “for Wilderness Food Pantry”.
